Where does Pinua come from?
Pinua means "pine" in Basque, a tribute to the pine trees that line France's ocean coasts. Our logo incorporates a cherry, a nod to the famous Itxassou cherry, grown in the Basque Country.

Our swimwear is made in Portugal using OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified Italian fabrics. By choosing to produce in Europe, we support local expertise while minimizing our carbon footprint.
The jewelry adorning the Arca and Pyla models is made in Spain. And to stay true to our values, our packaging combines aesthetics and sustainability.

It was during this period that we began to design PINUA, to participate in trade fairs to meet specialized factories, and to lay the foundations of our project.
Creation of PINUA

PINUA was born in the summer of 2024. This is when we designed our first models with our partner factory in Portugal and selected our muses and ambassadors to form the #Uhaina group.
